Using multiple spell checkers in OpenOffice.org Writer

OpenOffice.org 2.4 adds three new ways to select the language for easier use. Changing the language to indicate to the spell checker which dictionary to use becomes very easy and intuitive.

French professional recording studio that uses Linux

Linux MAO writes about professional recording studio from Paris, France, which is based entirely on Linux. In SAZ Paris studio some DAW software is used, although no details are given (Ardour?). However, LADSPA and VST plugins are also used.

How to publish photos to Flickr using KDE and KFlickr?

kFlickr is a standalone Flickr uploader for KDE. It allows for easy upload of photos with drag and drop from other applications (Konqueror). kFlickr also edits common attributes (title, description, privacy, tags) before sending the photo. Multiple users and batch editing of photos are supported.

Google: The new Sourceforge?

Two years after Google kicked off project hosting on its Google Code site, Google is reporting that it now hosts over 80,000 projects. The actual number of active projects registered at Sourceforge may be as low as 15,000. It may well be that Google now has more active projects hosted on its Google Code site than Sourceforge – suggests Matt Asay from CNET Blogs.
