Renoise is a digital audio workstation (DAW) based on the design principles of the module tracker. It supports instrument plugins, effects, MIDI input and output, synchronization capabilities, and parameter automation. Several weeks ago a first vesrion of Renoise for Linux appeared.
Here are some screenshots of Renoise 1.9.1 running under Linux. Application supports JACK sound server, LADSPA plugins, and native Linux VST plugins. User interface and all other features are designed to be identical to the Windows and Mac OS releases.
Renoise is a commercial application (shareware), the full version costs 49.99 euro (excluding VAT). The demo version is also available. It is fully functional, with the following exceptions: rendering to .WAV is disabled and ASIO is not supported (serious drawback in case of the Windows version).
